The preamble

I dont claim to know a speck of professional photography - I cant. But partly by experience and mostly by fluke, I have learnt that a "wow" photograph does not always need a "wow" camera. Almost all of the photographs in this blog have been taken with my unpretentious, outmoded canon powershot.

According to me, a good photograph only needs you to :-
* have a purpose and know it.
* focus/wait/tilt/jump/scream/stand-upside-down/make-people-around-you-mad till there are no extraneous, distracting objects in the background.
* zoom in or out just the right amount.
* know if you have the right amount of lighting. (Now, what amount is "right amount"? I wouldnt know... rather, I dont :D)
* Shoot!

The simple rule: Click when you like what you see.

Happy clicking, people!
